*** WARNING PLOT SPOILERS!!! ***

“Twilight” by Stephanie Meyer is told from a girl called Bella Swan’s perspective. Its genre is a mix between Horror/Romance and it is set in a very cloudy, rainy dark place called Forks that is located in Washington, America. I think the setting adds to the story very well because The Cullens are vampires, so they obviously can’t stay in somewhere really bright because they would get caught out. The novel is really about this girl called Bella Swan who moves from Phoenix because her mother gets a new boyfriend and they move to Florida so Bella goes to Forks to be with her dad, then falls in love with Edward Cullen. Even though he is a vampire, he falls in love with her too. As their relationship grows Edward’s family, the Cullens, accept that they love each other. Edward then invites Bella to a family Baseball game but they are interrupted by three other vampires who are not “vegetarian” ones called James, Laurent and Victoria. They are about to leave when a gust of wind blows Bella’s hair and her scent straight into James’ face! To the vampires, Bella smells delicious and James’ obsession is to hunt. Edward tried to get Bella to leave for her safety but James is cunning and finds her and bites her but then Edward saves her and James is killed. The plot was really exciting and gripping! There were two main characters, Isabella (Bella) and Edward Cullen. They are both seventeen but Edward has been seventeen for a while.

I recommend this book to anyone and everyone because I think it is one of the best books I have ever read!
